As we wrapped up the first leg of our journey, I found myself reflecting on everything we’d learned—about travel, family, and living with MS. It wasn’t always easy. There were stressful moments, frustrations, and a fair amount of flack from loved ones who didn’t understand why we needed this trip. But there was also so much joy in the adventure. Traveling by RV gave us the freedom to explore, the space to make our own schedule, and the chance to balance work, life, and fun—all while dealing with the unpredictability of Multiple Sclerosis. It’s proof that life doesn’t have to be put on hold just because you face challenges. If anything, it’s about embracing the journey, flack and all, and finding joy along the way—even if that means driving to Alabama just for some Chick-fil-A.
